HOW CAN I REACH THE BENEFITS DEPARTMENT AT MBUSI?
You can reach a representative from the Benefits Department by sending an email to Retiree Benefits. We will respond to your email within 48 to 72 hours.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I REACH AGE 65?
You must apply online for Medicare at Social Security-Medicare Benefits or call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). Once enrolled, Medicare will become your primary insurance. You will receive your Mercer Marketplace 365+ Retiree enrollment information 90 days prior to your 65th birthday. Once you receive that information, please contact Mercer Marketplace 365+ Retiree at 1-855-296-2408 to set up a consultation.
IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO ME, DOES MY SPOUSE CONTINUED TO GET HEALTHCARE INSURANCE?
Yes, surviving spouses are eligible to receive healthcare insurance. Please contact Mercedes Marketplace 365+ at 1-844-287-2277 for Pre-65 retirees or Mercer Marketplace 365+ Retiree at 1-855-296-2408 for Post-65 Retirees.
IF I DECLINE MBUSI’S HEALTHCARE INSURANCE AT THE TIME OF MY RETIREMENT, CAN I TAKE IT LATER?
No, you must elect the insurance at the time you retire or you will no longer be eligible. The only exception to this guideline is if you retiree while your spouse is still an active MBUSI Team Member, you were covered under their policy and a family status change such as divorce or your spouse is no longer employed by MBUSI; you will become eligible to enroll in the retiree healthcare insurance.
WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS FOR A LEASE VEHICLE AFTER I RETIRE?
Retirees are not eligible for lease vehicle. However, you are eligible to purchase a Mercedes vehicle at a discounted rate.
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY 401(K) AFTER I RETIRE?
Voya receives notification that you retired through our weekly workflow processing. Once Voya updates their system, you can contact them to assist you with your account. This process could take up to 30 days from the date of your retirement.
WILL I RECEIVE MY ANNUAL TEAM SHARE BONUS IF I RETIRE DURING THE YEAR?
Yes, you will receive a prorated Team Share bonus for the number of months that you were actively employed at MBUSI.
