MECHATRONICS is a training program and partnership between Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. in Vance, Alabama, Shelton State Community College and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The next MECHATRONICS session is currently scheduled for Fall 2013.

MBUSI Final LineOriginally, MECHATRONICS came from the combination of MECHANICS and ELECTRONICS. The increasing complexity of technology has since warranted the inclusion of various additional functions such as Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, and Control Engineering.

    

MBUSI Body ShopThe MECHATRONICS program will provide students with the cognitive and psychomotor skills necessary to support the building of world class automobiles at Mercedes-Benz U.S. International in Vance, Alabama.

 

    

alt tag?After completing the MECHATRONICS Training & Curriculum at Shelton State, the top 75% percent of students enrolled in the program will advance to MBUSI and earn a full time position in Production.

 

Of the students that advance to MBUSI, a top percentage will go into the MB Industrial Mechatronics Maintenance Program.
